Declaration of warehousing station enables export-oriented undertakings under Customs Act powers to store goods under customs control. The Central Board of Excise and Customs, exercising powers under section 9 of the Customs Act, declares Village Kachigam near Daman and Diu to be a warehousing station for the purposes of setting up hundred per cent export-oriented undertakings, enabling goods to be stored under customs control to support export operations.
