<h1>Government Updates Customs Exchange Rate for Pound Sterling to 3.6350, Effective August 7, 1989, per Notification No. 45/89-Cus.</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 40/89-Cus. (N.T.) regarding the exchange rate under the Customs Act, 1962. This amendment, specified in Notification No. 45/89-Cus. (N.T.) dated 4th August 1989, replaces the entry for Serial No. 14 in the schedule with a new exchange rate for the Pound Sterling, set at 3.6350. This updated rate will take effect from 7th August 1989.
