of <h1>New Notification Sets Exchange Rates for Foreign Currencies Under Indian Stamp Act and Customs Act Section 14</h1> Notification No. 61/90-Cus. (N.T.), dated September 28, 1990, issued by the Central Government, prescribes exchange rates for foreign currencies against the Indian Rupee for calculating stamp duty under the Indian Stamp Act, 1899, and for purposes under section 14 of the Customs Act, 1962. This notification supersedes the previous notification No. 38/90-Non-Tariff-Customs dated June 27, 1990. Effective from October 1, 1990, the notification details specific exchange rates for various foreign currencies, including Austrian Schillings, Australian Dollars, Belgian Francs, and others, as listed in the accompanying schedule.
