of <h1>Customs Act Update: Amended Notification Expands Scope to Include Spectacle Parts and Accessories Under Section 7.</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 75/75-Customs, dated July 3, 1975, under the powers granted by section 7 of the Customs Act, 1962. The amendment, detailed in Notification No. 23/91-Cus. (N.T.) dated March 12, 1991, modifies the table annexed to the original notification. Specifically, it replaces sub-item (v) under item (a) with 'parts of spectacle frames, spectacles, sunglasses and rough ophthalmic blanks' and sub-item (xxiv) under item (b) with 'spectacle frames, ophthalmic lenses, spectacles, sunglasses, spectacle cases, and parts thereof.'
