<h1>New Exchange Rates for Foreign Currencies Set for Export Goods Under Customs Act, 1962, Effective July 1, 2001.</h1> The notification, dated 26th June 2001, issued by the Central Government under the Customs Act, 1962, establishes new exchange rates for converting specified foreign currencies into Indian Rupees for export goods. Effective from 1st July 2001, the rates are detailed in two schedules. Schedule I lists rates for individual units of currencies like the US Dollar (46.80 INR), Euro (40.20 INR), and Pound Sterling (66.20 INR). Schedule II provides rates for 100 units of currencies such as Belgian Francs (99.60 INR) and Japanese Yen (37.65 INR). This supersedes a previous notification from May 2001.
