(N.T.)</h1> The Central Government, under the authority of the Customs Act, 1962, has appointed the Collector of Customs (Judicial) in Madras to act as the Collector of Customs for the jurisdictions of the Collectorates of Central Excise in Coimbatore and Madras. This appointment is specifically for adjudicating cases involving the seizure of 750 gold biscuits with foreign markings on June 25, 1986, in Coimbatore, and the seizure of the vessel m.v. Thai Hong on June 27, 1986, in Madras, as per Notification No. 56/91-Cus. (N.T.) dated August 16, 1991.
