of <h1>Customs Act Update: New Sub-clause Adds Electronic Industry Raw Materials to Designated Items for Customs Airport</h1> The Central Government, exercising its powers under section 7 of the Customs Act, 1962, has amended Notification No. 6/89-Customs (N.T.) dated February 6, 1989. This amendment, issued through Notification No. 9/92-Cus. (N.T.) on February 22, 1992, adds a new sub-clause (xiii) under clause (b) of the original notification. The new sub-clause specifies the inclusion of 'raw materials for the electronic industry' as part of the designated items related to the appointment of a customs airport.
