<h1>India Sets New Exchange Rates for Export Goods Under Customs Act, 1962, Effective May 1, 1993</h1> The Central Government of India, under the Customs Act, 1962, has issued Notification No. 31/93-Cus. (N.T.) dated April 27, 1993, establishing new exchange rates for export goods effective May 1, 1993. This supersedes the previous notification No. 27/93-Customs (N.T.). The notification lists the exchange rates for various foreign currencies against Indian currency. For example, 100 Austrian Schillings equates to 35.6600 INR, and 100 U.S. Dollars equates to 3.1975 INR. The schedule includes rates for currencies such as the Australian Dollar, Canadian Dollar, Japanese Yen, and Pound Sterling, among others.
