<h1>Government Updates Exchange Rates for Customs and Stamp Duty under Notification No. 36/93-Cus, Effective July 1, 1993.</h1> Notification No. 36/93-Cus. (N.T.), dated June 28, 1993, issued by the Central Government under the Indian Stamp Act, 1899, and the Customs Act, 1962, prescribes the exchange rates for foreign currencies for calculating stamp duty and customs purposes. Effective from July 1, 1993, the notification supersedes the previous notification No. 32/93-Customs (N.T.). The schedule lists exchange rates for various currencies, such as Austrian Schillings at 38.0400 and U.S. Dollars at 3.1700, against Rs. 100 for conversion into Indian currency or vice versa.
