Customs port designation restricts authorized activities to loading/unloading crew baggage and specified cargo handling for export. The Central Government, exercising powers under clause (a) of section 7 of the Customs Act, 1962, substitutes clause (i) of the earlier notification to designate the port of Redi as a customs port limited to: loading and unloading of crew baggage; unloading of metallurgical coke and coal; and loading of iron ore for export.
