<h1>Customs Act Amendment: New Officers Appointed for Northeastern Regions in Notification No. 46/93-Cus. (N.T.)</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 250/83-Cus. under the Customs Act, 1962, by adding a new entry to the existing table. The amendment designates customs officers for specific regions, namely Meghalaya, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura. The Collector of Customs (Preventive) in Imphal, along with Deputy Collectors and Assistant Collectors working under their supervision, are appointed as the responsible customs officers for these areas. This amendment is part of Notification No. 46/93-Cus. (N.T.) dated September 24, 1993.
