of <h1>Customs House Agents Licensing Regulations Amended: License Validity Extended to Five Years with Renewal Option</h1> The Customs House Agents Licensing Regulations, 1984, have been amended to extend the validity period of licenses to five years. The amendment, effective upon publication in the Official Gazette, allows for licenses granted under regulation 10 to be valid for five years, with the possibility of renewal. The Collector of Customs may renew the license for an additional five years if the licensee's performance is satisfactory, based on criteria such as compliance with cargo clearance norms and absence of delays or misconduct. This amendment is outlined in Notification No. 21/94-Cus. (N.T.) dated May 5, 1994.
