Land Customs Station designation establishes a sole permitted land route for cross-border goods movement under Customs Act authority. The Central Government, exercising powers under section 7(b) and (c) of the Customs Act, appoints the place under the Collector of Central Excise, Chandigarh as a Land Customs Station for clearance of goods imported from or exported to China by land, and prescribes the specific land route identified in the Table as the sole permitted route for movement of those goods.
