of <h1>Coimbatore Airport Designated as Customs Airport Under Section 7 of Customs Act, 1962 for Import and Export Operations</h1> The Central Government, exercising its powers under clause (a) of section 7 of the Customs Act, 1962, has designated Coimbatore airport in Tamil Nadu as a customs airport. This appointment authorizes the airport to handle the unloading of imported goods and the loading of export goods, or any class of such goods. This designation is formalized under Notification No. 40/94-Cus. (N.T.), dated August 8, 1994.
