of <h1>Central Govt Amends Baggage Rules: Increases Monetary Limits in Rules 5, 6, 7, 12 & 13 Under Customs Act 1962.</h1> The Central Government has amended the Baggage Rules, 1994, under the Customs Act, 1962. Effective upon publication in the Official Gazette, these amendments increase various monetary limits specified in the rules. In Chapter II, Rule 5 sees increases from two thousand to three thousand rupees, and from four thousand to six thousand rupees, among others. Rule 6's limit is raised from four thousand five hundred to six thousand rupees, and Rule 7's from seven thousand five hundred to ten thousand rupees. In Chapter III, Rule 12 and Rule 13 both see increases from six hundred to seven hundred and fifty rupees.
