<h1>India Updates Currency Exchange Rates for Exports Under Customs Act, 1962; New Rates Include USD, JPY, More</h1> The Central Government of India has amended Notification No. 22/95-Cus. (N.T.), establishing new exchange rates for export goods under the Customs Act, 1962. Effective from May 1, 1995, the conversion rates for various foreign currencies into Indian Rupees are specified. For instance, one Austrian Schilling is set at 3.24 INR, one U.S. Dollar at 31.27 INR, and 100 Japanese Yen at 37.89 INR, among others. These rates are detailed in Schedules I and II, which list the exchange rates for individual units and 100 units of foreign currencies, respectively.
