Rescission of notification restores prior customs manifest regime for coastal vessels by exercise of statutory power. The Central Government, under sub section (3) of section 98 of the Customs Act, 1962, issues Notification No. 14/98 Cus. (N.T.) dated 27 February 1998 rescinding Government Notification No. 52 Customs dated 1 February 1963, as published in the Gazette of India Extraordinary Part II, Section 3, Sub section (i) vide G.S.R. 228.
