of <h1>Central Government Rescinds Notification Requiring Coastal Vessels to File Manifests Under Section 98 of Customs Act, 1962.</h1> Notification No. 14/98-Cus. (N.T.) dated 27th February 1998 announces the rescission of Notification No. 52-Customs, dated 1st February 1963, by the Central Government under the powers granted by sub-section (3) of section 98 of the Customs Act, 1962. This rescinded notification previously required coastal vessels to file import and export manifests. The decision was published in the Gazette of India Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i), under G.S.R. 228.
