<h1>New Exchange Rates Set for Export Goods Under Customs Act 1962, Effective January 1, 1999</h1> Notification No. 102/98-Cus. (N.T.), dated December 30, 1998, issued by the Central Government under the Customs Act, 1962, supersedes Notification No. 95/98-Cus. (N.T.). It establishes new exchange rates for converting specified foreign currencies into Indian rupees for export goods, effective January 1, 1999. The rates are detailed in two schedules: Schedule I lists the exchange rate for one unit of various currencies, including the U.S. Dollar at 42.45 INR and the Pound Sterling at 71.15 INR. Schedule II provides rates for 100 units of currencies like Belgian Francs at 122.65 INR and Japanese Yen at 36.65 INR.
