of <h1>New Exchange Rates for Foreign Currencies Set Under Customs Act, 1962, Effective April 1, 2001</h1> Notification No. 13/2001-Customs (N.T.), dated March 27, 2001, issued by the Government of India, supersedes Notification No. 4/2001-Cus.(N.T.) and prescribes exchange rates for foreign currencies concerning imported goods. Effective April 1, 2001, the notification sets specific exchange rates for various foreign currencies against the Indian Rupee for calculating stamp duty under the Indian Stamp Act, 1899, and for purposes related to the Customs Act, 1962. The rates are detailed in two schedules, with Schedule I listing rates for individual currency units and Schedule II for 100 units of certain currencies.
