<h1>New Exchange Rates for Foreign Currencies in India Announced Under Customs Act, Effective July 1, 1999</h1> Notification No. 42/99-Cus. (N.T.), dated June 25, 1999, issued by the Central Government under the Customs Act, 1962, supersedes Notification No. 33/99-Cus. (N.T.). It establishes new exchange rates for converting specified foreign currencies into Indian rupees for export goods, effective July 1, 1999. Schedule-I lists exchange rates for one unit of various currencies like the U.S. Dollar (43.15 INR), Euro (44.60 INR), and Pound Sterling (68.00 INR). Schedule-II provides rates for 100 units of currencies such as Belgian Francs (110.55 INR) and Japanese Yen (35.35 INR).
