<h1>New Customs Notification Sets Foreign Currency to INR Exchange Rates for Exports, Effective September 1, 1999</h1> Notification No. 49/99-Cus. (N.T.), dated 26th August 1999, issued by the Central Government under the Customs Act, 1962, supersedes Notification No. 46/99-Cus. (N.T.). It establishes the exchange rates for converting specified foreign currencies into Indian rupees for export goods, effective from 1st September 1999. Schedule-I lists rates for individual units of currencies like the U.S. Dollar at 43.35 INR and the Euro at 45.60 INR. Schedule-II provides rates for 100 units of currencies such as the Japanese Yen at 39.05 INR and the Belgian Francs at 113.05 INR.
