<h1>Central Government exempts certain resins from excise duty above 15% under Notification No. 41/86-C.E.</h1> The Central Government issued Notification No. 41/86-C.E. on February 10, 1986, under the Central Excise Rules, 1944, exempting Melamine formaldehyde resins and Urea formaldehyde resins, classified under Chapter 39 of the Central Excise Tariff Act, 1985, from excise duty exceeding fifteen percent ad valorem. This notification supersedes the previous notification No. 241/82-Central Excises dated November 1, 1982. The exemption is effective from February 28, 1986, and will remain in force until June 30, 1988.
