of <h1>Customs Tariff Rules Amended: Origin of Goods Percentage Requirements Adjusted Under SAARC Trading Agreement</h1> The Central Government has amended the Customs Tariff (Determination of Origin of Goods under the Agreement on SAARC Preferential Trading Arrangement) Rules, 1995, through Notification No. 68/2000-Customs (N.T.), effective upon publication in the Official Gazette. The amendments adjust the percentage requirements in various paragraphs of the rules: paragraph 3(a) changes from 50% to 60%, paragraph 4 from 60% to 50%, and paragraph 10 from 60% to 70% and 50% to 40%. These changes affect the determination of the origin of goods under the SAARC Preferential Trading Arrangement.
