of <h1>Central Government Revises Excise Rates for Match Boxes and Footwear Per Notification No. 128/86-C.E. Under Excise Rules 1944.</h1> Notification No. 128/86-C.E., dated March 1, 1986, issued by the Central Government under the Central Excise Rules, 1944, amends previous excise notifications. For Notification 41/81, the rate for match boxes is revised to include Rs. 24.90 per gross of 300 matches. Similarly, Notification 42/81 now includes Rs. 21.00 per gross of 300 matches. Notification 22/82 updates the rate to Rs. 9.60 per gross of 300 matches. Notification 49/86 revises figures in its table and updates entries for footwear, omitting Explanation II.
