Exemption for gold strips, wires, sheets, plates and foils used in jewellery manufacture removed from central excise liability. Amendment adds an exemption in the notification schedule for strips, wires, sheets, plates and foils of gold when used in the manufacture of articles of jewellery and parts thereof, effectuated under sub rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944.
