of <h1>Central Government Amends Excise Rules to Exempt Gold Strips, Wires, Sheets, Plates, and Foils for Jewelry Manufacturing</h1> Notification No. 194/86-C.E., dated March 11, 1986, issued by the Central Government under sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, amends a previous notification (No. 53/86-Central Excises, dated February 10, 1986). The amendment adds a new item to the schedule, specifically including 'strips, wires, sheets, plates, and foils of gold used in the manufacture of articles of jewellery and parts thereof' as exempt under the Central Excise Tariff.
