of <h1>Amendment to Central Excise Rules 1944 exempts resin and turpentine from excise duties effective April 24, 1986.</h1> The Central Government issued an amendment to the notification No. 230/86-Central Excises dated April 3, 1986, under the Central Excise Rules, 1944. This amendment, effective from April 24, 1986, introduces new entries to the existing table of specified goods that are exempt from excise duties. The newly added entries include resin (classified under 3801.19) and turpentine (classified under 3801.90). These goods fall under Chapters 32, 33, 38, 56, 62, 63, and 73 of the Central Excise Tariff.
