of <h1>Central Government amends 1986 notification under rule 8(1) to add duty-paid inputs for coated abrasives manufacturing.</h1> The Central Government, exercising its powers under rule 8(1) of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, has amended a previous notification from the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, dated April 3, 1986. This amendment, effective from May 22, 1986, adds new entries to the existing table in the notification. The additions include specified duty-paid inputs such as lime, paper or paperboard, aluminium oxide, and silicon carbide, which are used in the manufacture of specified final products like coated abrasives.
