of <h1>Delhi Collector Gains Nationwide Authority for Excise Adjudication Under Notification 354/86-C.E., Effective June 20, 1986.</h1> The Central Board of Excise and Customs, under the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944, and the Central Excise Rules, 1944, has empowered the Collector of Central Excise, Delhi, with the authority to act as a Collector of Central Excise across the entire territory of India. This authority includes the investigation and adjudication of cases as assigned by the Central Board of Excise and Customs. This notification, numbered 354/86-C.E. and dated June 20, 1986, extends the jurisdiction and powers of the Delhi Collector for specified purposes nationwide.
