of <h1>Amendment Requires Manufacturers to Prove Polyester Fibre Use in Approved Programs for Fabric Production Under Notification 357/86-C.E.</h1> Notification No. 357/86-C.E., dated June 24, 1986, amends a previous notification regarding polyester fibre used in fabric manufacturing. The amendment specifies that manufacturers must provide evidence to the Assistant Collector of Central Excise showing that the polyester fibre is intended for use in approved programs. For handloom fabrics, approval is required from the Development Commissioner for Handlooms, and for other fabrics, from the Textile Commissioner and a Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Supply and Textiles. Additionally, manufacturers must produce a certificate confirming the fibre's use for making low-priced fabrics with specified polyester content.
