of <h1>Central Government amends Notification No. 177/86-Central Excises; updates Table figures under Rule 57A for Modvat scheme.</h1> The Central Government, exercising powers under rule 57A of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, has amended the previous notification No. 177/86-Central Excises dated March 1, 1986. This amendment, effective from July 29, 1986, involves a change in the Table annexed to the original notification. Specifically, in columns (2) and (3) of the Table, the figures '30' are replaced with '30, 31.' This amendment pertains to goods eligible for credit of duty under the Modvat scheme.
