of <h1>Government Amends Central Excise Exemptions for Iron Products Under Chapters 72, 73, and 84</h1> The Central Government issued an amendment to a previous notification regarding Central Excise exemptions for certain final products under Chapters 72, 73, or 84. This amendment, dated July 29, 1986, modifies the notification from August 1, 1983, by changing the description in the table annexed to the original notification. Specifically, the amendment replaces the phrase 'and tubes and pipes and blanks therefor of iron' with 'tubes and pipes and blanks therefor of iron; and cast iron soil pipe fittings' in the relevant section.
