The notification supersedes the previous notification 45/2000-NT-Customs dated June 27, 2000. It establishes conversion rates between various foreign currencies and Indian rupees under section 14 of the Customs Act, 1962. The notification includes two schedules listing exchange rates for fifteen major currencies including US Dollar at 44.65 rupees, Euro at 41.60 rupees, and Pound Sterling at 67.60 rupees per unit.
