of <h1>Thorium Hydroxide by Indian Rare Earths Limited Exempted from Excise Duty per Rule 8, Notification No. 444/86-C.E.</h1> The Central Government, under the authority of sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, has issued Notification No. 444/86-C.E. dated November 6, 1986, exempting Thorium Hydroxide from the entire excise duty. This exemption applies to Thorium Hydroxide classified under sub-heading No. 2804.90 of the Schedule to the Central Excise Tariff Act, 1985, produced by Indian Rare Earths Limited.
