of <h1>Central Excise Amendment: PT Ester and Methyl Acrylate Exemptions for In-Factory Use Under Serial Nos. 23 & 24</h1> The Central Government has issued an amendment to the notification No. 40/85-Central Excises, dated March 17, 1985, under the Central Excise Rules, 1944. This amendment introduces exemptions for Para-Toluic Ester (PT Ester) and Methyl Acrylate when consumed within the factory of production. Specifically, PT Ester is exempt if used in the manufacture of Dimethyl Terephthalate, and Methyl Acrylate is exempt if used in the manufacture of acrylic fiber. These exemptions are listed under new serial numbers 23 and 24 in the notification's annexed table.
