of <h1>Exemption from excise duty granted for bare copper wire 0.315mm or finer used in imitation 'Zari' production.</h1> The Central Government, under the authority of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, has issued an exemption from excise duty for bare copper wire of 0.315 millimeters (30 SWG) and finer, classified under sub-heading No. 7405.90 of the Central Excise Tariff Act, 1985. This exemption is applicable provided it is demonstrated to the Assistant Collector of Central Excise that the copper wire is intended for use in manufacturing imitation 'Zari.'
