of <h1>Excise Duty Exemption: New Notification Reduces Duty on Certain Glues and Adhesives Under Sub-Heading No. 3506.00</h1> Notification No. 125/87-C.E., dated April 29, 1987, issued by the Central Government under the Central Excise Rules, 1944, supersedes a previous notification from March 1, 1987. It grants an exemption on excise duty for certain glues and adhesives listed under sub-heading No. 3506.00 of the Central Excise Tariff Act, 1985. The duty is reduced to 25% ad valorem for glues and adhesives based on plastics and 15% ad valorem for those not based on plastics, as specified in the annexed table.
