of <h1>Exemption on Polypropylene Filament Yarn: Excise Duty Reduced to 10.75 Rupees/Kg Until July 31, 1988 Under Rule 54.02.</h1> The Central Government, under the Central Excise Rules, 1944, has issued an exemption for polypropylene filament yarn, not textured, with a denierage not exceeding 750. This exemption applies to yarn classified under Heading No. 54.02 of the Central Excise Tariff Act, 1985. The exemption reduces the excise duty to an amount calculated at the rate of 10.75 rupees per kilogram. This notification is valid until July 31, 1988.
