of <h1>Government Cancels Various Finance Ministry Notifications Issued from 1983-1987 Under Rule 8(1) of Central Excise Rules</h1> The Central Government, exercising its authority under rule 8(1) of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, has rescinded several notifications issued by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue. These include notifications numbered 107/83, 56/86, 147/86, 148/86, 240/86, 370/86, 382/86, 70/87, 71/87, 103/87, 114/87, 129/87, 146/87, 174/87, 195/87, and 219/87, issued between March 1983 and September 1987. This action is formalized under Notification No. 130/88-C.E., dated March 1, 1988, concerning miscellaneous exemptions in the Central Excise Tariff.
