of <h1>Amendment to Notification No. 119/88-C.E. under Central Excise Rules, 1944, changes duty exemption terms for Chapter 85.</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 119/88-C.E. under the Central Excise Rules, 1944, specifically concerning Chapter 85. The amendment replaces the phrase 'from so much of the duty of excise' with 'from the whole of the duty of excise leviable thereon which is specified in the said Schedule.' Additionally, a new paragraph has been added, stating that the notification will remain in effect until March 31, 1989. This amendment is issued under Notification No. 154/88-C.E., dated April 28, 1988.
