of <h1>Central Government Amends Notification for Drug Price Control, Includes 1987 Order with 1979 Order for Exemptions</h1> Notification No. 161/88-C.E., dated May 3, 1988, amends Notification No. 245/83-C.E. under the Central Excise Rules, 1944. The amendment, issued by the Central Government, modifies the opening paragraph of the original notification. It replaces the reference to 'paragraph 19 of the Drugs (Price Control) Order, 1979' with 'the Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 1979 or the Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 1987, as the case may be.' This change reflects the inclusion of the 1987 Order alongside the 1979 Order in the context of miscellaneous exemptions under Chapter 30 of the Central Excise Tariff.
