of <h1>Zinc Products Like Ingots and Wires Exempted from Excise Duty Under Central Excise Rules, 1944 Notification No. 184/88-C.E.</h1> The Central Government, under the Central Excise Rules, 1944, exempts certain zinc products such as ingots, waste, scrap, plates, sheets, powders, flakes, and wires from excise duty, as per Notification No. 184/88-C.E. dated May 13, 1988. This supersedes an earlier notification from March 1, 1988. The exemptions apply under specific conditions, such as use in manufacturing within the factory, adherence to procedures outlined in Chapter X of the rules, or use for defense purposes in government ordnance factories. Each product category has distinct conditions for exemption eligibility.
