of <h1>Excise Duty Exemption for Solar and Natural Energy Equipment Under Notification No. 205/88-C.E. Issued by Central Government</h1> The Central Government, under the Central Excise Rules, 1944, has issued Notification No. 205/88-C.E. dated May 25, 1988, exempting certain goods related to solar and other natural energy from excise duty. This supersedes a previous notification from May 15, 1981. The exempted items include flat plate solar collectors, solar cookers, solar water heaters, solar power systems, windmills, bio-gas plants, and equipment for ocean energy utilization, among others. Parts used in manufacturing these goods within the factory are also exempted.
