Calendering clarified to include processing of cotton fabrics using a zero-zero machine without stenter attachment. Amendment inserts an explanation into Notification No. 253/82-C.E., stating that calendering for the purposes of the notification includes processing of cotton fabrics with the aid of a zero zero machine without a stenter attachment, effected under the powers of sub rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944.
