of <h1>Amendment to Notification No. 266/88-C.E. Adds Reference to Section 3 of Customs Tariff Act for Excise Duty Descriptions.</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 266/88-C.E., dated 14th October 1988, under the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944. This amendment, issued as Notification No. 285/88-C.E. on 28th November 1988, modifies the table in the original notification. Specifically, it adds a reference to the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944, and the additional duty under section 3 of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, in the description of excise duty for items listed under serial numbers 1 and 2 in the notification's table. These changes are made in the public interest.
