Excise duty exemption grants relief for potassium metal and potassium amide used in heavy water manufacture. Exemption from excise duty is granted for potassium metal and potassium amide falling within Chapter 28 when consumed within the factory of production in the manufacture of heavy water, relieving these inputs from the whole of the duty leviable under the tariff schedule.
