The amendment modifies the ratio in the proviso from '2:1' to '65:35' and revises the excise rates for various categories of cigarettes. Non-filter cigarettes up to 60 millimeters are taxed at 100 rupees per thousand, while filter cigarettes are taxed at rates ranging from 210 to 675 rupees per thousand, depending on their length.
