The amendments, effective from March 1, 1989, include the insertion of the phrase 'or in any other factory of the same manufacturer' in the opening paragraph. Additionally, a new proviso has been added, allowing exemptions for inputs used in a different factory of the same manufacturer, provided the procedure outlined in Chapter X of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, is followed.
