of <h1>Amendment to Excise Notification Removes Exclusion for Synthetic Dyes Cleared for Home Use (1985-1986) Under Section 5A</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 124/86-Central Excises, originally issued on March 1, 1986, under the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944. This amendment, effective from July 11, 1989, removes the exclusion clause concerning manufacturers who cleared synthetic organic dyes in unformulated or unstandardized forms for home consumption between April 1, 1985, and February 28, 1986. The amendment is made in the public interest under the powers conferred by section 5A of the Act.
