of <h1>Government Extends Notification No. 193/87-Central Excises to March 31, 1992, under Section 5A of the Central Excises Act.</h1> The Central Government has extended the validity of Notification No. 193/87-Central Excises, originally dated 17th August 1987, by amending it under the powers granted by Section 5A of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944. The amendment changes the expiration date in paragraph 2 from '16th day of August, 1989' to '31st day of March, 1992.' This decision was made in the public interest and is documented in Notification No. 166/89-C.E., dated 16th August 1989.
