of <h1>Central Government Amends Motorized Two-Wheeler Excise Notification; Raises Amount from Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 3,500 under Section 5A.</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 227/88-C.E. regarding motorized two-wheelers, initially issued on July 6, 1988, under the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944. The amendment, made under Notification No. 135/90-C.E. dated August 16, 1990, involves a change in the monetary amount specified in the proviso of the original notification. The amount 'Rs. 3,000' has been replaced with 'Rs. 3,500.' This amendment is enacted in the public interest, as per the powers conferred by section 5A of the aforementioned Act.
